The Secret Place (original oil painting)

This semi-abstract piece captures the impossible expanse of a small pond. It consists almost only of reflections, leaving the mind to contemplate what's really there. The path to this place is quite hidden and lined with warnings of 'enter at your own risk'. Luckily the only risks were the mosquitos.

This pleinair painting was painted on location in a single session in May 2024 to capture the colours of that singular moment. It is protected by a layer of glossy varnish to keep the colours fresh. The 30x40cm cotton canvas, is signed on the back, and can be hung directly on the wall without a frame.
