Equal and Opposite (original oil painting)

This simple view of a pond was brought to life with the movement of the reflections and the creeping shadow. The two patches of grass on the bank almost seem to collide and send ripples along the pond. 

This pleinair painting was painted on location in a single session in May 2024 to capture the colours of that singular moment. The 24 x 30cm linen canvas is signed on the back, and can be hung directly on the wall without a frame.
