Da lang nur Mist (original oil painting)

I came across a sign with a big arrow pointing to a place called Hohen Mistorf (high poop bog). The sun was casting a beautiful golden on the forest trees in the background, which were all leaning in the opposite direction, and I had to capture the humour of the situation.

This pleinair painting was painted on location in a single session in May 2024 to capture the colours of that singular moment. It is protected by a layer of glossy varnish to keep the colours fresh. The 24 x 30cm linen canvas is signed on the back, initialled on the front, and can be hung directly on the wall without a frame.
